Robert Rodriguez

In this issue, we’re featuring Robert Rodriguez, our longtime Facilities Manager here at BASF & JDC. As the first friendly face you’ll see when you return to our offices next year, Robert ensures our offices run smoothly every day, with the help of Jerry Ramirez and Rose Magnia who are also a part of the Office Management department. Since he graduated from college and joined the team more than 18 years ago, he has provided essential support for the BASF family. His daily job duties can range from dealing with vendors for BASF events and conferences to replacing a battery on a clock in the office - all sorts of tasks that make our staff’s jobs easier and provide a comfortable space for our members to commune.

Rodriguez was originally hired to work in the mailroom. Within a few years he demonstrated such professional competence supporting the offices, he was promoted to the Facilities Manager. More importantly, another main reason he enjoys working with BASF is that he is inspired by the mission and differences our organizations have made in the community. “Normally, I’m behind the scenes but one day I was at HAP (the Homeless Advocacy Project) and I was asked to interpret for a Spanish-speaking client and it was rewarding to help a client firsthand.”
