Legal Services Providers and Community Benefit Organizations Ask for Moratorium on Evictions During Coronavirus Emergency
March 13, 2020, San Francisco—The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) of the Bar Association of San Francisco joined local legal services and community organizations in calling for a moratorium on evictions during the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In a letter to Mayor London Breed, Sheriff Paul Miyamoto, and Michael Yuen, Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco Superior Court, signatories outlined mitigation measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus in the community, and offered their help in implementing such emergency measures.
