In April, the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) partnered with Yahoo! Inc. and Fenwick & West to hold a pro bono clinic for nonprofit organizations.

After Fenwick attorneys gave an overview of typical legal issues for nonprofits, Yahoo lawyers and legal professionals met with nine nonprofits to assess their overall legal health.

The nonprofits all serve low-income communities throughout Northern California in various ways, such as giving resources to disadvantaged Latino cancer patients, saving money through energy efficiency and green workforce training, and providing donor milk to premature infants.
