Many individuals and businesses begin the new year with resolutions; the focus of which frequently center on shrinking midlines and growing bottom lines. While the former is up to the individual, the latter is something The Bar Association of San Francisco’s SF-Marin Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) can help make a reality. January is the start of half-price membership time and for the nominal fee of $60, attorneys can participate in a State Bar of California certified LRIS.
The two-time American Bar Association’s Cindy Raisch Award-winning LRIS is available to attorneys in Marin and San Francisco counties. If you have an office in both counties, you are welcome to apply to both the Marin panel and the San Francisco panels.
At this time we are especially in need of bilingual Spanish-speaking family law attorneys, legal malpractice and medical malpractice attorneys, and bilingual Spanish-speaking attorneys with offices in Marin County. It is the resolution of LRIS to provide the best legal assistance possible to the diverse Bay Area community. You can help us fulfill this lofty goal by applying to become an LRIS member today.
The extensive marketing efforts of LRIS work to an attorney’s advantage by bringing more calls to our phone lines and a greater number of clients for referral to LRIS members. Additionally, as a participating member, attorneys receive a discount on BASF’s Mediation Services Program. Instead of $295 per party, your fee is $250 per party for the first three hours of the mediator’s time. Mediation panelists average 30 years of experience and offer services in over 30 areas of the law.
And if all those reasons don’t have you printing out the application, here’s one more – by participating on LRIS panels you contribute to its Fund for Public Service. This fund helps support the charitable programs of the Justice & Diversity Center including the Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship program and the School-To-College program.
Consider a six-month test run of the SF-Marin Lawyer Referral and Information Service. It’s a profitable investment in your professional growth many times more than the nominal $60 fee to join and an opportunity to assist the communities of San Francisco and Marin.
