Thousands of tenants are evicted each year in San Francisco and many face the eviction and the possibility of homelessness, without a lawyer. Nationally, 90% of landlords go into an eviction proceeding with an attorney, while only 10% of tenants do. Faced with these odds, many tenants, even those with strong potential defenses, will lose.

On the June 5 ballot, San Francisco will vote on Proposition F which will provide a right to counsel in eviction proceedings and offer a more level playing field for thousands of tenants facing eviction and potential homelessness. Please join the Justice and Diversity Center by voting yes on Proposition F on June 5.
