Timothy Moppin, a partner at Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck, was officially installed as 2015 BASF President on December 10 at The Bar Association of San Francisco’s Annual Membership Luncheon and Installation of Officers.

In his inaugural speech, Moppin highlighted some areas he wants to focus on in 2015, which include access to justice issues; pro bono service; and a renewed commitment to diversity in the legal profession.

The initiatives he will work on in 2015 include “Meet Your Judges” forums for members of the community; a call to action to encourage more members to give back with pro bono service; and a continuation of the It Starts With a Day volunteer service projects.

Moppin also talked about the release of the 2015 Goals and Timetable Report on Minority Hiring and Retention report which will be published in the summer.
