During National Homeless Awareness Week, the Justice & Diversity Center celebrates its Homeless Advocacy Project’s 25th anniversary. In 25 years of service, hundreds of dedicated staff attorneys, advocates and social service professionals, as well as legal and social work interns, and volunteer legal and social service professionals, have provided services to over 50,000 individuals who were homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. To support the work of HAP, please make a donation today.
The infographic below shows HAP’s ongoing impact. Over the past year, HAP has handled over 1,300 cases, ranging from disability benefits to eviction defense to clearing warrants. The graphic focuses on the most common case types, demonstrating that, 25 years later, HAP staff and volunteers continue to make a big difference.
