Welcome Mikele Lewis-Nelson, who joined the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) in February as Executive Assistant to Yolanda Jackson, Executive Director and General Counsel and Jack Hannan, Deputy Executive Director.
Born and raised in Oakland, California, Mikele has a great love for the Bay Area and joins BASF after leaving her last position as a realtor with Keller Williams Realty. After studying economics at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, she returned to the Bay Area to work in travel. She has served as events co-chair on the Leadership Council of the Vanguard at San Francisco’s Museum of the African Diaspora as well as marketing chair for the women’s group at her church. Her diverse background in public relations, event planning and higher education administration make her an excellent addition to the BASF team.
“I’m excited to be back working in San Francisco and to be serving a community I grew up in,” says Mikele. “I’m glad to work with people who are dedicated to helping others. It’s truly a fulfilling feeling.”
