This summer, the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) welcomed nine summer interns at its downtown office and at JDC’s Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP).

Peter Stevens, JDC’s Consumer Project intern, is a rising 2L at UC Hastings with a legal background in affordable housing and local government. He hopes to advocate for the community and shape local policy after law school.

Deeba Fahami, JDC’s 2015 AT&T Fellow, is a rising 2L at UC Hastings, and excited to be pursuing a career in public interest law.

Michelle Huh is a rising 3L at UC Hastings pursuing a tax emphasis, and is glad to gain invaluable knowledge on legal procedure for pro se litigants through JDC’s Federal Pro Bono Project.

Kelsey Swann is a fourth year at UC Berkeley interning with JDC’s Housing Negotiation Project.

Jimmy Mulgannon is a recent college graduate working as JDC’s administrative intern before starting law school at Santa Clara University this fall.

Sara Fay Katz, JDC’s Family Law Project intern, is a rising 3L at UC Hastings who will extern at San Francisco Superior Court’s Unified Family Court this academic year, as well as serve as Lead Editor of Hastings Women’s Law Journal and compete with the Hastings Negotiation and Mediation Team.

Jia Liu, a rising 2L at Georgetown Law, is interning at HAP to help disadvantaged people in a city she loves.

David Hernandez is a rising 3L at UC Hastings with a strong interest in eviction defense and advocacy.

Kristina Rosales, a native San Franciscan and rising 2L at UC Hastings, is actively involved in UC Hastings La Raza and intends to pursue a career in litigation.
