The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) hosted its first virtual Happy Hour last week. The aptly named Quarantini Happy Hour was hosted on Zoom, allowing guests to connect via video while maintaining the physical distance required by the state-wide shelter-in-place order.
Hosted by Frank Wisehart, Baker Tilly, the event welcomed guests from as far as Oregon and Italy. To start the Happy Hour, everyone raised a glass, some filled with water, and toasted the novel way to connect and boost each other’s spirits.
Past President Doris Cheng joined the conversation and guests connected over the shared experience of having their lives turned upside-down due to the coronavirus emergency. People shared details about their current situations and many introduced their pets.
Conversations moved on to practical matters, as guests started sharing technology and practice tips. Topics ranged from saving money and business continuity, to mediation, and video conferencing.
If you’re craving connection and could use a boost, join the conversation. The next Quarantini Happy Hour takes place this Thursday, April 2. Please register here.
