The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) applauds Lara Palanjian’s enthusiasm for her pro bono case. Palanjian is defending a low-income tenant against eviction. Her client’s landlord had been harassing him until Palanjian won a mini-trial for a civil harassment restraining order. With JDC Supervising Attorney Cary Gold “answering emails at all hours,” Palanjian conducted three direct examinations and three cross-examinations, entered a number of exhibits and gave a closing argument. With Gold’s tireless support, Palanjian is excited to get this experience and advocate vigorously for her client.
Cary Gold litigated landlord-tenant and real estate cases for 20 years before joining JDC in 2006.
