The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) celebrated the top 15 percent of its volunteers, and specially recognized four individuals and a law firm, at the annual Appreciation Celebration on May 12.
Guest of honor Chief Justice of California Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye greeted awardees, and gave inspirational remarks to a group of about 200 attendees.
JDC presented the Outstanding Law Firm in Public Service Award to Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Richard Zitrin was recognized as Exemplary Volunteer for Legal Services and Diversity Educational Programs.
Robert Feyer received the James D. Preovolos Award for outstanding pro bono service in family law.
JDC gave the Housing Justice Award to Hope Greenhill and Miriam Gordon received the Community Service Award.
