Every penny counts – especially if you’re a small nonprofit providing direct services!
With that in mind, the Justice & Diversity Center’s Community Organization Representation Project (CORP) partnered with volunteers from Holland & Knight, Deloitte, and Fiscal Management Associates to provide five Bay Area nonprofits with free legal and financial wellness assessments on January 23.
Part of a nationwide “Day of Service” campaign organized by Exponentum™, a network of business law pro bono providers, participating nonprofits received free legal consultations with a focus on financial reporting and management. Whether flagging potential issues early on or offering invaluable insight on financial best practices, clinic volunteers’ guidance will go far towards helping organizations more effectively achieve their charitable missions.
Very special thanks to Matthew Vafidis, litigation partner at Holland & Knight, for helping to organize this very successful event.
