BASF recently announced the expansion of its Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) into Marin County. Residents and businesses can benefit from quality referrals to experienced, local attorneys in Marin through this award winning, State Bar of California-certified referral program.
In the wake of the Marin County Bar Association’s closure of its Lawyer Referral Service, BASF’s lawyer referral program, with its multi-lingual, trained staff and national reputation for excellence, was chosen to ensure a seamless transition for needed services. Through the creation of the newly established “Marin Panel,” BASF LRIS is now actively enrolling Marin attorneys.
“This is a win for the people of Marin County and a win for local practice attorneys,” said BASF President Stephanie Skaff. “The community will be well served through BASF’s referral program which has the solid infrastructure in place to properly screen client inquiries and make appropriate referrals, both to attorneys and legal service agencies in Marin.”
LRIS was established in 1946 to serve returning World War II veterans with referrals for legal assistance and has grown to assist 50,000 individuals and businesses annually. With more areas of practice offered, seasoned staff to conduct initial case interviews, and the financial resources to invest in outreach, LRIS is well positioned to be an effective partner with Marin attorneys to be of service to their community.
Legal assistance for residents in Marin County is available through the LRIS intake line and is answered live at 415-989-1616, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Online referral request forms are available 24/7 at www.sfbar.org/lris.
Attorneys with offices in Marin County are invited to apply to receive Marin client referrals. Contact LRIS Director of Public Service Programs, Carole Conn, at 415-782-8934 or visit the LRIS membership information page at www.sfbar.org/lawyerreferrals/att-join.aspx.
