In July, BASF’s Bay Area Mediation Service and the San Francisco Law Library presented the first in a series of free lunchtime legal presentations on mediation.
More than 25 attorneys and members of the public packed the library meeting room on July 16 to hear Kevin Coleman speak on “10 Mediation Tips & Tricks: How to Prepare Yourself and Your Client for Mediation.” The talk was well received, generating rave reviews.On August 20, Robert Fries continued the series with a talk on “Effective Negotiating in Mediation.” This program addressed how to use proven negotiation tools to enhance mediation outcomes. Over two dozen people attended and were very enthusiastic in their reviews about the speaker and about the lunchtime series.
The October 21 program will feature Nicole Gesher speaking on aspects of “Mediation in Family Law.”
The programs are held at 1145 Market Street, 4th Floor, in the law library Seminar Room. They are free and open to everyone.
