On November 15, the Miller Law Group and the Association of Corporate Counsel’s San Francisco Bay Chapter teamed up with the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) to hold a pro bono legal clinic for nonprofit organizations.
Twenty-two volunteer attorneys offered employment-related legal information and advice to ten nonprofit organizations that serve low-income communities. The nonprofits who attended provide a wide variety of services, including homeless advocacy, affordable housing, and assistance for sexually exploited youths.
JDC holds this clinic, and similar clinics, through its Community Organization Representation Project (CORP), which provides pro bono transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations that serve low-income communities throughout Northern California.
JDC thanks the 22 law firm and in-house counsel who volunteered, and Miller Law Group for hosting the clinic.
