Bonnie Lau Named National Association of Women Lawyers’s 2022 Rising List

Debra R. Schoenberg Honored in National Law Journal’s 2022 Family/Elder Law Trailblazers

It features 40 best data breach response lawyers in the business, based on nominations, input from numerous senior lawyers and other professionals in the field, and considerable research.
Julie Treppa Elected Fellow of American College of Tax Counsel
BASF Member Julie Treppa, Farella Braun + Martel, has been elected a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC), the preeminent professional association of tax attorneys. Julie was one of 14 new fellows elected to the ACTC at its annual meeting on May 13. ACTC fellows must be nominated for membership and undergo a rigorous screening process prior to being elected. Fellows are recognized for their extraordinary accomplishments and professional achievements and for their dedication to improving the practice of tax law.
ACTC’s purpose is to foster excellence and to elevate professional standards in the practice of tax law; stimulate skills development and knowledge through participation in continuing legal education programs and seminars; provide for input by the tax bar into the development of tax laws; and facilitate the scholarly discussion and examination of tax policy issues.
BASF Members Honored in National Law Journal’s 2022 Plaintiffs’ Lawyers Trailblazers
BASF members Rebecca F. Furman, Lewis & Llewellyn, and Lexi J. Hazam, Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, were named among 2022 Plaintiffs’ Lawyers Trailblazers by the National Law Journal (NLJ). NLJ’s list includes a wide array of plaintiffs’ lawyers, all of which prove to be born leaders and truly agents of change.

The following BASF members Jamie Leigh, Cooley; Jennifer Marie Taylor, O’Melveny & Myers; and Maggie Lui Wong, Goodwin are chosen as top women in dealmaking by their peers and The Deal’s researchers.
