During National Homeless Awareness Week in November 2013, the Justice & Diversity Center celebrated its Homeless Advocacy Project’s 25th anniversary.
In 25 years of service, hundreds of dedicated staff attorneys, advocates and social service professionals, as well as legal and social work interns, and volunteer legal and social service professionals, have provided services to over 50,000 individuals who were homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.
Over the past year, HAP has handled cases ranging from disability benefits to eviction defense to clearing warrants.
