The Justice & Diversity Center’s (JDC) Community Organization Representation Project (CORP) recently conducted a legal-financial clinic for nonprofit organizations with volunteer attorneys and accountants from Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton; Morgan Lewis & Bockius; Fenwick & West; Deloitte; and PwC.
The clinic provided pro bono legal and financial checkups for six non-profit organizations that collectively serve over 20,000 low-income and underserved people in the Bay Area annually. Participating non-profits received a presentation on good financial management practices before meeting one-on-one with lawyers and accountants to assess and improve their legal and financial health.
Thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time and a special thank you to Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton for hosting the event.
