JDC, Covington & Burling, and Dolby held a free clinic in September and assessed overall legal wellness for seven nonprofit organizations.

Covington graciously hosted the clinic, which opened with Dolby’s General Counsel, Andy Stewart, welcoming 17 volunteer attorneys. A panel then led training on legal issues relevant to nonprofits, after which teams of attorneys worked with groups that serve low-income communities throughout Northern California.

The nonprofits work with underserved communities such as low-income immigrants and families, foster youth, people with developmental delays, and small businesses in underprivileged areas.
