The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) congratulates Justice Martin Jenkins on his appointment to Judicial Appointments Secretary in the Office of the Governor! Justice Jenkins currently serves as an Associate Justice on the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, and was appointed to this position in 2008.
Justice Jenkins has been involved with numerous BASF and Justice & Diversity Center programs over the years. He served on BASF’s Juvenile Justice Task Force and JDC’s Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship committee. Justice Jenkins was also part of the leadership committee that launched JDC’s Open Doors 1L Job Shadow Program, now in its fifth successful year. In addition, he participated in “It Starts with a Day‘ service days, gardening with incarcerated youth at Log Cabin Ranch High School. Justice Jenkins has also frequently mentored law students and young attorneys over the years when requested to do so by BASF.
