BASF’s inaugural Equality Committee Happy Hour took place on April 16 and was hosted by Keker & Van Nest. The gathering was a wonderful opportunity for guests to mingle with committee leaders and to learn more about BASF’s diversity opportunities and initiatives. Thank you to all who joined us, including chairs and members from BASF’s Committees on Disability Rights, Minorities, LGBT Issues, Women (No Glass Ceiling), and Barristers Diversity.
On April 22, BASF’s Equality Committee on LGBT Issues brought together a number of the LGBT community’s most prominent attorneys and civil rights advocates to address the issues pending before the U.S. Supreme Court in the same-sex marriage cases (Perry v. Schwarzenegger and United States v. Windsor) and to explore the possible impact of these cases on the marriage equality movement nationwide. Special thanks to our co-sponsors, Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) and the Horizons Foundation.
Photos from both events can be found on BASF’s page on Facebook.
