Registration is open for the Justice & Diversity Center’s (JDC) Homeless Advocacy Project’s Summer Associates in Public Service Program.
We invite your firm to provide crucial legal services to low-income and homeless San Francisco residents, while also teaching your summer associates both practical skills and the value of pro bono work.
Through the program, JDC’s Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP) trains summer associates, then provides ongoing support as they, under your firm’s supervision, interview clients, identify issues, draft and respond to discovery, negotiate, draft legal briefs and memoranda, and possibly attend civil and/or administrative hearings.
The initial training program will be on June 5 in San Francisco. We hope to work with your firm and your summer associates this year. For information, email JDC’s Pro Bono Manager Gloria Chun at gchun@sfbar.org.
