San Francisco Business Times Names Women of Influence
BASF member Valerie Blair, Greene Radovsky Maloney Share & Hennigh, was included in the “Rising Stars” section of the San Francisco Business Times “Northern California Real Estate Women of Influence” list.
BASF members Judy Davidoff, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton; Pamela Duffy, Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass; and Nancy Lundeen, Allen Matkins were included in the Hall of Fame section.
The Recorder Recognizes Legal Departments
The Recorder recently recognized legal departments at the Legal Department of the Year event held on November 18. Union Bank, whose Chief Litigation Counsel Joe Catalano was the Chair of the Justice & Diversity Center Gala, was recognized in the “Pro Bono and Community Service” category.
Managing Intellectual Property Magazine Names BASF Members among Leading IP Attorneys
Managing Intellectual Property magazine recently published its “IP Stars – Top 250 Women in IP” list and the following BASF members were included: Christa Anderson, Keker & Van Nest; Karen Frank, Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass; Pamela Fulmer, Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg; Annette Hurst, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; Rachel Krevans and Catherine Polizzi, both of Morrison & Foerster; and Bobbie Wilson, Perkins Coie.
Past President Appointed to United States Sentencing Commission Group
Past BASF President Nanci Clarence, Clarence Dyer & Cohen, was selected to represent the Ninth Circuit as a voting member of the Practitioners Advisory Group (PAG) of the United States Sentencing Commission.
Clarence was also re-appointed as chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers’ Federal Criminal Procedure Committee for 2013-14.

Lawyers of Color recently released its inaugural Hot List Issue, which recognized early- to mid-career attorneys who are excelling in the legal profession. Nossaman Partner Named to the Futures Industry Hall of Fame
Nossaman Partner William Bagley is one of 12 new members that have been inducted into the Futures Industry Association’s Futures Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005 to commemorate outstanding contributions to the global futures and options community.
Farella Braun + Martel Founding Partner Honored
Farella Braun + Martel Founding Partner Jerome I. Braun was the recipient of the Hazelden Legal Professionals Program’s second annual “Hazelden Excellence in Legal Community Leadership Award.”
The award recognizes Braun’s dedication and passionate advocacy for the triumph of recovery over addiction and his work and contributions toward the cause that make him an inspiration and a role model for judges, attorneys and law students throughout California and across the country.
Member Joins Advisory Board
BASF member Roger Royse, Royse Law Firm, recently joined the advisory board at Dakota Venture Group, a University of North Dakota student-run venture capital investment fund.
The Recorder Names Litigation Department of the Year
BASF Leaders Circle firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe was recently named California’s Litigation Depart-ment of the Year by The Recorder. Additional Leaders Circle firms were also recognized: Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein was named as a finalist and Morrison & Foerster was named an honorable mention.
