BASF held its 2nd Annual General Counsel Dinner on April 8 at Morton’s The Steakhouse. The event was an incredible success with more than 30 general counsel in attendance representing various corporations and industries ranging from software to skincare products to athletic apparel.
Tom Lima, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Gap Inc. was very impressed with the diverse group of attendees, “BASF’s General Counsel Dinner was a great opportunity to meet other GCs from different industries, with many facing the same challenges. A bonus was reconnecting with former colleagues that, in some cases, I hadn’t seen for many years.”
Julia Cowles, General Counsel at Loyal3 enjoyed hearing about all the new businesses taking root in the city, “The BASF General Counsel Dinner was a home run – it was great to meet and mingle with a collegial group of GCs and to hear about the variety of interesting businesses taking off in San Francisco. It was a fun, high-energy and interactive event and everyone seemed to have a good time.”
The dinner was sponsored by BASF Leader Circle firm, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Molly Lane, managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office is already looking forward to the next dinner, saying “Morgan Lewis was honored to have sponsored the April 2015 BASF General Counsel Dinner. It was a fantastic opportunity to get to know an incredible and lively group of in-house counsel from a variety of companies throughout Northern California. We hope to do it again soon!”
The General Counsel dinner takes place once a year and exclusive sponsorship opportunities are available to BASF Leaders Circle firms only.
