Governor Brown Appoints Two Members to Judgeships
California Governor Brown recently announced the appointment of Joseph M. Quinn, Hanson Bridgett and Sharon M. Reardon, San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, to judgeships in the San Francisco County Superior Court. Quinn fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John E. Munter. Reardon fills the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Marla J. Miller to the Court of Appeal.
California Lawyer Magazine Announces CLAY Awards

The Recorder Recognizes Top Litigation Departments
Latham & Watkins was recently named by The Recorder as the “Litigation Department of the Year.” Additionally, the following BASF Leader Circle Firms were recently honored in practice area-related categories by The Recorder as top Litigation Departments: Cooley, Intellectual Property; O’Melveny & Myers, Entertainment; Cooley, Privacy; Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Labor and Employment; and Morrison & Foerster, Consumer Class Actions.
The Recorder also recognized In-House Counsel and member Hilary Ware of Netflix, who was honored with an In-House Impact Award.
Andrew Giacomini Named to Board of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization of general counsel and managing partners of the leading U.S. corporations and law firms, recently announced that Andrew Giacomini, Hanson Bridgett, joined its board. Giacomini is Hanson Bridgett’s managing partner and a former BASF board member.
