California Supreme Court Justice Goodwin Liu and a panel of leading Asian American lawyers presented an interesting and inspiring discussion yesterday, centered on the recently released report, A Portrait of Asian Americans in the Law.
Co-authored by Justice Liu and published by Yale Law School and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the two-year study is a systematic analysis of how Asian Americans are situated in the legal profession. Learn more at www.apaportraitproject.org
“Our study shows that Asian Americans have a foot in the door in every sector of the legal profession,” said Justice Liu. “The question now is how wide the door will swing open. Despite much progress, Asian Americans still face significant obstacles to reaching the leadership ranks.”
