Mediation Offices of Sanford Kingsley
Sanford Kingsley has over 40 years of litigation and mediation experience. He has conducted hundreds of mediations and settlement conferences, including over 100 mediations and settlement conferences via Zoom video conference.
Before becoming a full time mediator, Kingsley was a litigator for 33 years principally at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal (now Dentons) and LeBoeuf, Lamb Greene & McRae, two prominent national law firms. He handled a wide variety of complex civil matters in trial and appellate courts including employment and discrimination claims, real estate and business disputes, class actions as well as insurance coverage and bad faith lawsuits.
In addition to his mediation practice, Kingsley also serves as a member of the Mediation and Early Neutral Evaluation panels for the Federal courts in the Bay Area and Sacramento (Northern and Eastern Districts) as well as the Northern District Bankruptcy Court and the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District. He is a member of The Mediation Society and its President for the 2022-23 year.
Kingsley’s goals in mediation are the same as those of the participants: a fair proceeding where the parties and their positions are fully heard and recognized that leads to an outcome all can live with. He listens intently, communicates clearly, and brings patience, perseverance and neutrality to a case. Kingsley absorbs information quickly and knows when to probe, and when to streamline the process.
