The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) recently met with pro bono providers from across the country in Chicago to share ideas and best practices about how to strengthen the organizational capacity of community-based nonprofits.
Gloria Chun, JDC’s Director and Managing Attorney of Pro Bono Legal Services, represented JDC’s Community Organization Representation Project (CORP) at the annual meeting of the National Network of Business Law Pro Bono Providers—a collaboration of legal assistance organizations from 13 states and the District of Columbia dedicated to improving the quality of life in low-income and disadvantaged communities by expanding the availability and quality of pro bono business legal services for nonprofits that serve those communities.
Inspired by the expertise and enthusiasm of its national partners, CORP is planning to expand the scope and breadth of its program in the coming year. If you are interested in learning more about or volunteering with CORP, contact Supervising Attorney Jay Lee at jlee@sfbar.org
