Ciarán O’Sullivan for the Board of Representatives of CLA 

Ciarán O’Sullivan, member of BASF’s Trusts and Estates, Litigation, and Solo and Small Firm sections, and former chair of BASF’s Trusts and Estates Litigation section, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Board of Representatives of the California Lawyers Association.  In that capacity he represents the CLA’s Trusts and Estates section on the CLA board.  He has served on the executive committee of the Trusts and Estates section (aka TEXCOM) since 2017.

Cynthia Castillo of Farella Braun + Martel has received a 2024 Minority Coalition Unity Award from the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association at their annual MBC Unity Awards. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco La Raza Association and is co-chair of the Latina Committee. Rachel Proffitt, Woman to Watch in 2025

Forbes has recently named Cooley partner and CEO, Rachel Proffitt, as one of the many powerful women to watch in the coming year. Congratulations to MoFo partner Bonnie Lau for being named by the Daily Journal as one of the 2024 Top Antitrust Lawyers. This marks the third time Bonnie has been recognized by the Daily Journal for her work as a dynamic trial lawyer who advises clients facing government scrutiny or allegations in areas such as manufacturing, media, real estate, telecommunications, and more. She also serves as the vice chair of the ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Women.Connected Committee and is the co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Network for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. 

Luke Apfeld 2024 Atlas Award Winner

We would like to recognize Luke Apfeld, an associate at Keker, Van Nest & Peters, as he has been named a 2024 Atlas Award recipient for his ongoing engagement in this year’s Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Pathfinders Program! To be eligible for this award, a Pathfinder must have participated in eight or more programming components. At Keker, he focuses his practice on high-stakes litigation in complex commercial matters, IP disputes, and criminal cases. Congratulations again, Luke!
