This December 2, The Bar Association of San Francisco and the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) will launch our first ever #GivingTuesday campaign to support the Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship program.
Since its inception in 1998, through the generous donations of individuals, law firms and corporations, we have awarded more than 86 scholarships which totaled more than 1.5 million dollars to diverse Bay Area law students.
Our scholarship recipients have made an impact in their communities and to the legal profession. They are general counsel at corporations, associates and partners at law firms, managing attorneys at non-profits, solo practitioners and government attorneys.
Make a donation on December 2 to the scholarship program and post on Twitter why you gave using the hashtag #GivingTuesday and our Twitter handle, @sfbar.
Read some of the stories of past scholarship recipients below and get inspired to invest in the diversity of the legal community on Giving Tuesday!
