This summer, JDC’s Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP) welcomes four interns who will work on eviction defense cases with Staff Attorney Erin Katayama.

Seamus Brugh attends University of San Francisco School of Law, where he is a research assistant for Professor Tim Iglesias, and a member of the moot court competition team.

Tom Duensing, a lifelong Bay Area resident, attends Golden Gate University School of Law. Last summer, he worked with HAP’s Senior Supervising Attorney, Katie Danielson, in Golden Gate’s Honors Lawyering Program, for which Danielson is adjunct faculty.

Crystal Fryman attends UCLA Law School, where she is co-president of the Disability Law Society. During the school year, she interns at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Los Angeles.

Toven Lim attends UC Hastings College of the Law. A Bay Area native, he worked at a plaintiffs’ civil litigation firm in Oakland before deciding to go to law school.
