The Barristers Club Board of Directors, San Francisco Superior Court Presiding Judge Teri Jackson and Third Baptist Church Pastor Amos Brown hosted a Meet the Judges event on August 27.

The event, which was sponsored by Morrison & Foerster, gathered 16 Superior Court judges for a community discussion about the California court system. The forum offered attendees the opportunity to engage directly in a dialogue with the judges.

Among the highlights of the event was a testimonial from a member of the community who credited an appearance before Judge Donald Mitchell with a turnaround in his life, thanking Judge Mitchell for taking a chance on him.

In another unplanned moment, a member of the San Francisco Police Department took the opportunity to present Judge Jackson with flowers, thanking her for the inspirational role that Judge Jackson had played in her law enforcement career.

Organizers of the event included Barristers Club President Adam Kaplan, Munger, Tolles & Olsen, and past board member Diana Kruze of Morrison & Foerster.
