Asian American Bar Announces 2017-2018 Board of Directors

The Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area recently announced its 2017-2018 officers and directors at large. The following BASF members are included: President Miriam Kim, Munger, Tolles & Olson; Vice-President/President-Elect: David Tsai, Vinson & Elkins; Treasurer Charles Jung, Nassiri & Jung; and Secretary John Hamasaki, Hamasaki Law.

Nuix Announces New Board Member

Global technology company Nuix recently announced that former US ambassador to Australia Jeffrey Bleich, Dentons, has joined the Nuix board of directors.
Nuix is a global cybersecurity, legal discovery, investigation, and information governance technology company.

Queen’s Bench Bar Association Names 2017 Board of Directors

The following BASF members were named to the 2017 Queen’s Bench Bar Association board of directors: Anne Gyemant Paris, Gyemant Paris Law, will serve as president; Holly Schaitberger, Hersh Family Law Practice, will serve as 1st vice president; Carol A. Salvagione, Hedani, Choy, Spalding & Salvagione, Kimberly Wong, The Veen Firm, and Pauline Farmer-Koppenol, Bio-Rad Laboratories will all serve as a board members.

Paralegal and Legal Professional Honored

The Bar Association of San Francisco’s Paralegal Section announced its 2016 awards in December. Brian Troxel was selected as Paralegal of the Year and Rose Kronbeck was chosen as Legal Professional of the Year. Both Troxel and Kronbeck are from Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein. Linda Solee, Paralegal with Shartsis Friese was named Paralegal Section Member of the Year.
Paralegal Section Chair Vickie Newman, RP, was presented an Award of Recognition for her tremendous leadership the past two years.
