The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) welcomes Kelly Corcoran as a staff attorney with its Federal Pro Bono Project.
Corcoran works in the Northern District of California’s Oakland Courthouse, giving brief advice and counsel to pro se litigants, assisting in drafting and reviewing documents, conducting legal research, screening cases for potential placement with a pro bono attorney and making referrals to other legal resources for those whose matters are not appropriate for District Court.
Kelly is a Contributing Editor to The Rutter Group’s Federal Civil Procedure Before Trial practice guide, and was an attorney at Kerr & Wagstaffe in San Francisco for several years before joining JDC. She is also active with several Bay Area education nonprofits. Corcoran attended the University of Michigan and UC Hastings College of the Law.
