The Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) welcomes Antonia More as the new Supervising Attorney to our Family Law Project. Although not entirely new to working with JDC, her new role will see her expand the work she has done serving pro se litigants in family law affairs.
An Ohio native, Antonia moved to the Bay Area at only eighteen years old. She later became a student at UC Hastings College of the Law. Prior to joining JDC, Antonia worked in Trade Secret Litigation. In 2011, she began volunteering in Alameda County as a volunteer attorney in Family Law. There she was able to provide services to monolingual clients speaking Spanish or Russian. Inspired by the social impact of such programs, she then joined JDC’s Family Law Assisted Self-Help Project (FLASH) in 2013. Since then, Antonia has provided legal assistance to unrepresented litigants with divorce proceedings in San Francisco courts.
Antonia’s new role with JDC is her next step in securing quality resources for family law litigants. As the project’s Supervising Attorney, she is overseeing numerous projects including: FLASH, Sargent Shriver Child Custody Project (SASH), Pro-Bono Referrals, and Attorney of the Day assistance in San Francisco’s Court House. Even further, she is also participating in mentoring other attorneys in Family Law trainings.
Antonia shares that she is very enthusiastic about her work because she is consistently met with kindness and gratitude. She is always happy to leave work with the satisfaction of having done something that truly matters and makes a difference. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with her children whom she proudly shares, are successfully pursuing careers in music and voice acting. Otherwise, she also enjoys swimming and caring for her pet cockatiel, Hugo.
JDC is excited to see you continue to drive our mission forward and help the community achieve just results. Welcome, Antonia More!
