The Barristers Club, the Bar Association of San Francisco’s (BASF) new attorney division, recently announced the officers for its 2019 Board of Directors. In addition, the Nominating Committee of the Barristers Board of Directors is pleased to announce that five Barristers Club members have been selected to fill seats on the Barristers Board that will become vacant on January 1, 2019 due to expiring terms.
The 2019 board officers are:
John Hamasaki, Hamasaki Law, President
Kelly Matayoshi, Farella Braun + Martel, President-elect
Anjali Kulkarni, Duane Morris, Secretary
Jessica Ryland, Lyft, Treasurer
Slated to join the board of directors in 2019 are:
Sydney Allen, Long & Levit
Ernest Hammond, Uber
Lindsey Mignano, Smith Shapourian Mignano
Phong-Chau Nguyen, Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein
Cristina Piechocki, Pandora
The new officers and directors will start their terms January 1, 2019. They will be installed at BASF’s Annual Membership Luncheon on December 18, 2018, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The new directors will join the following continuing members of the Barristers Club board:
Nadim Hegazi, Collins Collins Muir + Stewart; Sean McHenry, Hoyer & Hicks; Matthew Valdez, San Francisco Giants; Jamie Wells, McGuireWoods; Pierre Zado, Zado Law
Outgoing board members are:
Andrew Amoroso, DueCourse; John-Paul Deol, Fenwick & West; and Natascha Fastabend, University of San Francisco School of Law, LLM Program.
The Barristers Club is a vibrant group of attorneys, all within their first ten years of practice. Barristers Club members are active and visible across the BASF membership performing community service projects, volunteering to offer pro bono legal assistance, socializing and networking with peers to build their professional networks, and delivering innovative programming designed to help new attorneys develop their skills.
