NewsroomBASF Nominates New Officers and Directors for 2009
President-Elect Russell Roeca, Roeca Haas Hager, LLP, will succeed to the office of the president in 2009. Arturo González, Morrison & Foerster LLP, will serve as BASF's president elect; and Priya Sanger, Wells Fargo Bank Legal Department will serve as treasurer. Nominee for secretary is: Kelly Dermody, Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP. Nominated for directors to serve in 2009, 2010, and 2011 are: Doris Cheng, Walkup Melodia Kelly Wecht & Schoenberger; Tim Moppin, Duane Morris LLP; Catherine Kirkman, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati; Jonathan Hayden, Heller Ehrman LLP; Melinda Haag, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP; Monty Agarwal, Arnold & Porter; and Haywood Gilliam, Bingham McCutchen LLP. Members of the Association may petition to run for a seat on the Board or for the offices of president-elect, treasurer or secretary. The petition, which must be signed by 1% (75) active members of the Association, must be received in the BASF office no later than noon, October 10, 2008. If there is more than one nominee for any office or more than seven nominees for director, an election of BASF members will be held. The 2009 officers and board members will be installed at the BASF Annual Membership Luncheon on December 18 at the St. Francis Hotel.
