This CLE will cover the topic of Attorneys acting as whistleblowers. It will cover the rules governing when and how an attorney is required to "blow the whistle" re client activities, and when attorneys are merely permitted to even report their clients in California. We will also discuss new California Rule of Professional Conduct Rule 1.13, as well as the Bio-Rad case where the Ex-GC has been awarded $11MM for whistleblower retaliation claims.
